Again I must state right from the start that the bass and sound levels from the i-CLUB have been significantly lower since your meeting with GM. It is unfortunate that it had to come to a meeting for the club to realise the seriousness of our complaints.
Even though it has been peaceful compared to the previous week, we have been experiencing bass intermittently each night since your meeting. Our SMS exchanges usually result in a short response from either OM or GM and a drop in bass levels, but the bass often returns 20 to 30 minutes later, prompting another round of text messages. I do not know how the club is ‘monitoring’ the levels, but I cannot see how they can tell we are being affected unless we tell them.
Last night/this morning, my SMS exchange with i-CLUB:
23:30 Me - GM & OM, u need 2 know bass has been audible for the last 15 or so mins. U will do something abt it immediately
Me - I can still hear it
23:46 GM - Still?

I am writing again to reiterate the issues we are having with the i-Club. I have a feeling the management from the establishment is just hoping we will give up and I want it to be made clear that we will not. We have no choice. As stated by Rabbitgut in his prior email though the levels are significantly improved to what they were in August, they have not yet returned to the acceptable levels we experienced during the first part of September. I could understand if I had moved into their neighborhood - I would have to put up with the choice I made to live near a club. But the fact is they chose to move into ours, and apparently did so without exercising due diligence on the effects of sound to the surrounding area. I feel it is now their responsibility to adjust their sound to acceptable levels. The management of the club stated that each song has a different bass level but I know there is sound leveling equipment available in the industry - even my iPod nano has an option to level sound! GM also sent a rather cryptic message that, if I interpreted it correctly, eluded to the fact that they will have the lamest club in town if they are not able to pump the bass. As residents affected by their bass this is obviously a very concerning statement for them to make. Why was it possible to reduce the sound levels to an acceptable volume for nearly a month and now it’s impossible?
I am a mother of two children, one who is only 6 weeks old and whose room faces the i-Club. I do not have the luxury of sending numerous sms’s to the i-Club when I should be spending my time resting and I shouldn’t have to be concerned about my baby’s sleep being interrupted by club music! You do realize that sounds preposterous? Baby and club music should never have to be written in the same sentence. I should also not have to spend my precious time during the day or night sending emails such as these.
Yet, if the problem persists so will I.
