We meet with GM and his boss, who turns out to be the same individual who visited our property on 25 Aug 2011 but was introduced at that time as the club’s sound engineer!

In a nutshell, the club says that based on DBKL’s report, their sound levels are within acceptable levels. (It should be noted that, if the club is referring to a report dated 31 Jan 2012, the readings were taken at 21:00, well before the club’s peak operation hours.) They claim to have spent thousands more commissioning acoustic specialists and augmenting their soundproofing.

The meeting goes nowhere, so we agree to GM’s suggestion that he arrange for DBKL take readings again, and that these results are final. If levels are above acceptable, i-CLUB will do everything to soundproof effectively. If levels are within acceptable, we cease all contact with i-CLUB, and we soundproof our individual apartment units. We also tell GM that we will cease our nightly text exchange, but will provide feedback instead the following day.

GM says he will advise when DBKL can visit.
